Course Overview:
This course provides clinicians with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to confidently diagnose, plan and deliver predictable posterior composite restorations, including Class I, Class II, the stamp technique, and composite onlays for fractured teeth.
Learning objectives: explain the material science principles of modern composite resins; describe adhesive systems and select appropriate bonding protocols; demonstrate correct cavity preparation for Class I and Class II restorations; achieve predictable proximal contact and contour using sectional matrix systems; apply the stamp technique appropriately; identify indications for cuspal coverage and composite onlays; perform adhesive protocols for composite onlays; recreate functional occlusal anatomy in posterior restorations; apply correct finishing and polishing techniques; assess occlusion and adjust restorations appropriately.
Who is this for: dentists, dental hygienists & dental therapists, and PLVE dentists (GDC registered) looking to enhance aesthetic dentistry skills and gain practical confidence in posterior composite restorations.
